SEE - ME

See - me is a project that was born from the debrief "discomfortable tableware". Together with my team, I was supposed to analyse the tableware world and apply it the concept of discomfort. Together with my team, we decided to work on the psychological discomfort connected to digital technologies, so we projected a set of glasses which are designed to reflect our smartphone addiction.

The surfaces of the glasses are inspired by the tactility of a smartphone, and become some sort of an ironic surrogate for the phone.

We pondered on the discomfort of having a meal with someone who is always absent-minded because a good part of her - his attention is glued to the phone, so we designed different shapes of glasses that replicate the form of the telephone and allow the users to keep on indulging in the typical gestures that we all make when we use our phone, while they look at us.
